Teshan is a little boy, who is living with his parents and brother in a remote village in Moneragala, Sri Lanka. He is too young to attend a pre school.  He enjoys watching cartoon on television and also loves to play with dolls.  His father does cultivation work once for a year and for the rest of the year he does labor work to earn a living while facing uncertainties regarding the income, while his mother attends to the house work and looks after her child.  The house in which they live belong to another member of their family. The house, is partly constructed with bricks, the floor is concreted, and the roof is covered with clay tiles.  Teshan’s family has no access to proper sanitary facilities of their own. Water is obtained from a neighbor’s well.  They enjoy electricity.   Despite the difficulties they face, Teshans family strives to make the best out of their circumstances. Help and support received from a kind Sponsor will help them to improve their living conditions, and offer a brighter future for Teshan as he starts his education.
