Amelia Deyaneira, known as Amelia has no brothers or sisters and lives with her parents in a small house that they own, far from school and a health center. The house is built with brick walls, metal roof and cement floor. The family has access to electricity, there is a toilet inside the house and they get water in a public tap quite far from their dwelling. Amelia is attending elementary school and loves her social studies class. She likes to study and wants to be a doctor. Amelia is good playing basketball and dancing and helps at home sweeping the floors, cooking, making her bed and milking the cows. Both parents are part time day laborers and although they work hard, cannot earn enough to cover their needs. Amelia grows fast and her expenses too. The parents dream to see her happy and successful. Parents and child deserve a better life; it is fair to give Amelia the right tools to face the future.
