Prince is in custody of his mother because his parents never got married. Prince’s mother is a subsistence farmer, she mainly grows maize as their staple food crop, however yields are always low because of infertile soil, unpredictable weather condition and poor cultivation methods. Their annual income stands at $300 and this is not enough to meet their daily basic needs. For this reason, his mother has decided to enrol Prince for sponsorship.
