Mariama lives with her parents in four bedroom mud bricks adobe house with dirt floors and no toilet facilities. Her parents are small scale farmers who work in the rice field and also cultivate cassave and yam to suppliment the feeding at home. This cheerful girl is healthy and living happily with everyone at home and in the neighborhood. She sleeps with her parents on a locally made mud bed with a straw mat on it. She is a promising child. If given the opportunity through sponsorship, Mariama will be able to go to school and become educated for a brighter future.
