Isaura is a cheerful and friendly girl who lives with her parents and siblings in a community located in the southeastern part of Mozambique. Isaura and her family live in a self-built house with reed walls, a thatched roof and dirt floor. They do not have running water. They get water from a well with a pump which is 2 km away. Their Health Center is located 10 km away. They do not have electricity in the house. At night, they use primitive kerosene lamps. Isaura has not started school yet because she is still underage. She enjoys playing with dolls. Her parents are subsistence farmers and they grow maize, groundnuts and cassava for the family sustenance. Isaura and her family lack money and face many problems to get food. The family income is very low. Isaura participates in the program where she will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation. We are hopeful that your sponsorship will enable this child to have adequate access to basic essentials and have a good future.
