Pitamber, fondly called Asik, comes from a financially disadvantaged family living in a tribal village. His father is a casual worker and works hard. His annual income is USD 274. This mearge income is far from sufficient to support the family or provide even one square meal a day. The mother is resourceful at trying to make ends meet with what is at hand, but there is abounding privation at home with no way out of their miserable plight. Having no other alternatives but being keen on educating this child, the desperate parents sought aid from this project. Pitamber goes to primary school. His favourite subject is Hindi, the national language. He enjoys playing football and hide and seek with his friends. He has no brothers or sisters.
