Vella is a nice social young girl who lives in northern Uganda with her parents who are subsistence farmers, they practice farming on their ancestral land given to them by their grandparents and it has lost its fertility due to over cultivation. Her parents are unskilled and have never acquired any formal kind of education. This makes it so hard for them to improve on the fertility of the soil that to generate high output and be used to provide basic needs like clothes, proper feeding, medication and proper shelter. The family sleeps in a grassthached hut house with parked dirt floor that is smeared on weekly basis using cow dung, the roof is replaced yearly but due to the financial status of the family, sometimes they fail to raise money for making replacement making it to leak on them, Vella is not yet enrolled in school but her parents worry that she may never get the best education since they do not have any clear source of income.
