This is Sofia. She belongs to a humble family. The father is absent. Sofia and her mother currently live with the maternal grandfather, who is a farmer that earns approximately 7 USD per day. Living on just one low income and under these circumstances is not easy. Sofia speaks Totonac and Spanish, and attends primary school, at an early grade. Her diet includes milk, coffee, bread, tortillas, potatoes, eggs, noodles, lentils, beans, vegetable soup, and yellow peas. Against the odds, shes thriving and currently weighs 24.6 kg and shes 1.19 m tall. Sofia enjoys the Day of the Dead helping with the altars and offerings and watching the hot air balloon festival. Please, lend her a helping hand. With your kind support, Sofia will participate in programs created to complement her education. These programs will accompany her while growing up, always supporting her at school and guiding her steps in the correct direction.
