Samba is a healthy and handsome young boy. He lives with his family in a small mud block house of two bedrooms in a rural community on the west coast region of the Gambia. He is the third child of his parents as of now, and his parents love him very much. He is a home-based child and has yet to attend ECD nursery school in his community. He likes playing with toys and football with friends, but dislikes fighting. His parents are farmers, they grow groundnut, cassava and beans for family consumption and part of it is sold for family expenses. Due to the low production from the farm, the annual income cannot meet the basic needs of the child. Therefore, there is a need for ChildFund support to improve his well-being.
