Mariatu is a polite little girl commonly called Yeanny who lives with her parents and sisters in the Eastern part of Sierra Leone. Her family lives in a three bed room house built with mud bricks and roofed with old zinc. She sleeps on a local bed with her sisters in the same room. Their community lacks modern facilities like pipe borne water and electricity. They use battery lamps for light and get water from a hand pump well. Her parents depend mainly on petty trading as their main source of income. Their income can only meet certain basic needs of the family. She is healthy and doing well. She is the last child to his parents. She is attending the primary school in her community. She is very smart and active in school and at home. She enjoys playing Balancing ball with her playmates. Sponsorship will help improve on the living conditions of Yeanny.
