Yoan is a happy, curious, playful, and friendly child. He lives with his parents and grandparents. His mother is a housewife who stays at home, taking care of all the household chores and helping care for him. His grandfather also helps. Both his grandfather and father are seasonal farmers. They live in a rural area, in their own two-room house made of adobe walls, a tile roof, and a dirt floor. They have access to electricity, drinking water, and sanitation services. Despite their situation, Yoan is in good health and attends the Early Childhood Program.
