Kayla is a little girl who lives on the coast of the southern part of Mozambique. She lives with her parents, grandparents and one aunt in a very small house made of concrete with zinc sheet roof. The father of Kayla has a small business and he is the one who provides for the family. They have a small farm at home where they grow some food products to help support the family. They have a very low income and live in poor housing conditions. Some days, they do not have enough to eat, and they have difficulty paying for their basic needs and for school expenses. Kayla is not studying because she is underage. She is a friendly girl who enjoys listening to nursery songs, playing football and with dolls. Her mother hopes she becomes a police officer in the future. The family of Kayla believes that with the help from ChildFund and partners Kayla will have the chance of having a great future and their lives will be better.
