Karen is happy living with her parents and her two sisters. The father works hard as a bricklayer on a temporary basis. The mother is a homemaker. The familys daily income is approximately less than U.S. $7. They have serious problems to cover all their most urgent needs. They speak the Nahuatl dialect and Spanish. Their dwelling consists of three rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It is made of bricks with a cement floor. It has no drainage. Their furniture consists of four chairs, a table, and a bed. They do not have the essential household appliances. Their daily meals are based on beans, soup, milk, chicken soup and tortillas. Karen is still very small to attend school. She is now in good health and she has been vaccinated, her weight is 9 kgs. and her height is .75 m. Her favorite tradition is Christmas because they break pinatas.
