A pretty young and playful girl by the name of Salamatu belongs to the Ishmeal family. They live in a farming community in eastern Sierra Leone. Salamatu lives with both parents and two sisters in a small house built with mud and stick with old zinc as roof top. The mother is a petty trader who sells her goods on periodic market days from one community to the other. The father is a farmer who has a small plot of land on which he farms. He does rice farming yearly just to provide food in the home. Their combined annual income is estimated at US$ 220 which is too small to provide them with all their basic needs. They depend on two meals a day which lacks the required nutrient for proper growth of children. Salamatu likes playing around with her age mates. She remains healthy most of the time. Sponsorship support will help Salamatu to be educated and live a better life for a better future.
