Sanuja and his brother are thick pals. They like to hangout and play together. They live with their parents in the Moneragala district of Sri Lanka. Their house is a clay hut. The walls are made of sticks and clay, the roof is strewn with tin sheets and the floor is bare and clay. Although their hose could use a lot of improvements, they cannot afford any of it because they live in poverty. The annual household income us approximately USD580. Life is difficult for Sanuja’s family of four. This annual income is generated by Sanuja’s father who is a labourer in the farming sector. He is also the sole breadwinner of the family. Sanuja’s mother is a housewife. She takes care of Sanuja and his brother and attends to the household chores. This family needs a break. Their struggling with poverty is sometimes overwhelming. Even the smallest intervention by a generous person will change things for the better and go a long way for little Sanuja and his family.
