Amadu is a young boy who lives with his parents in the Eastern part of Sierra Leone. He has one sister and one brother. They live in a three bed room house built with mud and roofed with old zinc. His parent grows mainly rice in their farm but due to limited resources, their farm land is always small which cannot provide enough food for the family. The family mostly depend on two meals a day. With the small harvest, his parent sells some of the food to be able to meet other family needs. He is attending school in his community. He is very smart and active among his playmates. He is a healthy child and loves to play soccer with his peers at home. He also loves to play balance ball. With sponsorship however, he can grow up healthy and educated and become productive in his family and the community as a whole.
