Sarjo is dark in complexion young boy, he and his family lives in a small village of about 800 inhabitants in the western part of the Gambia. He is enrolled in a nursery school in a nearby village. His hobbies are playing soccer and hunting birds at the back yard with his siblings and children from the neighborhood, he is youngest child in the family of seven. The father is a traditional farmer who cultivates coos, groundnut and maize for home consumption and the family’s annual income does not meeting basic needs of the family. If sponsored in the sponsorship program the family will benefit from the programs that the federation embarked on, such as the family economic empowerment, Nutritional training, child protection program and vegetable production technique.
