Joy is a friendly and honest boy who lives with his parents and siblings in a small community located in the southeastern part of Mozambique. Joy enjoys helping his family with the chores around the house. On his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer. He attends school and his favorite subject is Math. In future, he wants to be a police officer. His parents are subsistence farmers. It has been very difficult to live through family agriculture because they cannot afford supplies for the field. They harvest very little. Joy lives with his family and siblings in a self-built house with reed walls, a thatched roof and dirt floor. They do not have running water. They get water from a well. They do not have electricity. At night, they use primitive kerosene lamps to have light. They live far away from the hospital. Joy participates in the program where he will receive support in the areas of health, education, nutrition and recreation. We are hopeful that your sponsorship will enable this child to have adequate access to basic essentials and have a good future.
