Sharon is a friendly girl who lives with her single mother after the death of her father. She is a twin and together with her siblings they live in a grass-thatched hut made out of mud and wattle. She is enrolled for preschool learning and her best subject is reading. Her family depends on subsistence farming and the main food grown is cassava, beans, and ground nuts as the main source of income. This is all practiced on a small piece of land and due to poor farming methods, the yields are always low earning them a monthly average income of US 15 dollars. This is insufficient to cater for the needs of the family. They hardly access proper medical care and often times the child misses school due to lack of scholastic materials. The children lack proper beddings as they share an old papyrus mat which is laid down on the floor exposing them to insect bites that cause skin rash and scratch. Her best meal is rice and beans. Her health is progressively good despite the wanting family situation. Your kind sponsorship will create a better situation for Sharon.
