Zainab is an active and lovely girl who hails from Eastern Sierra Leone. She lives with her mother, two brothers and three sisters. Her father is living in another community as a commercial bike rider. He visits his family once in a month. They live in a mud brick house roofed with old zinc. The family fetches water from a hand dug well-constructed by the local partner with funds from ChildFund. The mother is a small-scale farmer who grows crops such as rice, cassava and beans. The combined annual income of US$ 250 is not enough to meet all the basic needs of the family. During the weekends, Zainab and siblings help their parents with minor farm work. Zainab is attending the community primary school. She enjoys reading the English alphabets and rhymes. At home, she helps her family with minor errands. Your support will complement our efforts in making positive change in the life of little Zainab, her family and the community for a brighter future.
