Millicent is a cheerful girl who lives in Turkana County in the northern part of Kenya. She lives together with her mother, two sisters, and a brother. They live in a communal land in a grass-thatched mud walled house. They get their water from a nearby shallow well whose water is not clean hence predisposing the child to water borne diseases. The mother is the breadwinner depend weaving and selling mats. She also works as a casual workers as an income supplementation activity. However the annual income of the family is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support family basic needs. Millicent is enrolled in a nearby school and likes coloring and drawing. She also likes rope skipping and at times rolling tires with her friends during her free time. Millicent would like to become a teacher when she grows up and help other people in the community. Your support will bring a lasting change to Millicent’s life.
