Gerald is a kind and playful boy. He likes sharing bites with his friends. Every evening, his mother roasts for him sweet potatoes to eat at break time at school. He attends formal education and his favourite subject is Science. He lives with both parents and sibling in North Eastern Uganda. They reside in grass thatched huts made of mud walls and wattle, with no provision of windows. The floors are regularly smeared with cow dung to reduce on dust yet even the dung is not easily got because they do not have cows in the family. The dust makes Gerald to often cough and have flu. The parents use herbal medicines for his treatment due to the distant health facility in their community. The situation is worsened by low crop yield which is a result of water logging and prolonged dry spells. The family survives on less than US 10 dollars per month. Your kind contribution will be a blessing to Gerald and his family.
