Saidu is a brilliant little boy who lives with his parents in a small village, in the rural areas of Sierra Leone. They dwelled in a mud house roofed with zinc that leaks during the rainy season. He sleeps with his parents in a single room that is not ceiled and paved. Saidu sometimes suffered from cold and pain, as they are always exposed to cold wind blowing at night especially during the cold harmattan period. His parents engaged in farming growing their own food. They earn low income that is inadequate to meet the basic needs of the family. He attend the village primary school. He always teach his friends at home how to read and recite rhymes. He is friendly and gets on well with his play mate. He enjoys dancing and playing soccer. With sponsorship, Saidu will be educated, growing in a healthy and secured environment.
