Alhaji lives with his parents in a small farming community in Sierra Leone. His mother is a backyard vegetable gardener and the father is a small scale farmer. The family lives in a three-bedroom adobe house of mud bricks with zinc roof. Alhaji is attending school in his village with little support from his parents. The proceed from their work is not enough to take care of the family. Alhaji is very smart and in the evening he studies with his friends. He is very curious to know things around him. He sleeps with his grandmother on a locally made wooden bed with a local mattress. He likes playing football with his peers and his best meal is foo-foo, a locally made food prepared from cassava. With sponsorship, Alhaji can achieve his dream in future.
