Susan is a social girl. She lives in North Eastern Uganda with her parents and two siblings. She has not started her education journey yet due to her tender age. The family sleeps in a grass thatched hut made of mud walls and parked dirt floor. The family repairs the hut every six months mostly during rainy season, but they struggle to buy grass for thatching which is expensive and scarce. Susan likes listening to traditional music. Her family depends on subsistence farming for survival but due to over cultivation coupled with unpredictable weather patterns, the family has seen a gradual decline in crop yield. The yield cannot sustain the family food requirements and provide enough income to meet other basic needs. Susan enjoys eating millet porridge and mashed sweet potatoes as her favorite meal. The family survives on less than US 10 dollars a month, which shows the level of poverty the family lives in. With your kind contribution, her wellbeing and a better life will be assured.
