Reacheal is smart girl who is living with her parents in a village that is surrounded by many trees and different fruits in the North of Sierra Leone. The family dwells in a mud brick house roofed with old zinc. The family sleeps on a local stick bed and dried grass mattresses. They use thick clothes for covering without mosquito bed nets. This exposes them to mosquito bites and most times causes Reacheal to fell ill of malaria. The Father of Reacheal grows rice, potatoes and groundnuts for food at home and sells some. Her mother is a petty trader who sells raw fish in her village and the nearby villages and also on market days. The family manages to survive on an annual income of around US$400.00 which is not enough to cater for the basic needs of the family. They share a bowl of rice twice a day. Reacheal likes playing with local toy. She will live a better life with her family if she is considered worthy of this sponsorship.
