Fatmata is a smart little girl who lives with her parents, two brothers and a sister in a farming community in the Northern part of Sierra Leone. The family lives in a mud bricks adobe extended family house with unfinished dirt floors and has no proper ventilation. She is attending one of the primary schools in her community. Small scale farming is their main source of livelihood. The income from the farm produce is most times not enough to address all the basic needs of the family. The mother also sells kola nuts at the local market to help in the upkeep of the home. She is healthy and lives happily with her peers. Sponsorship will go a long way to restore hope in her for a brighter future.
