Monica is a joyful girl who lives in Turkana County in the northern part of Kenya. She lives together with her parents, two sisters and three brothers. They live in a communal land in a grass thatched house. They get their water from a nearby shallow well whose water is not clean thus predisposes the child to water borne diseases. The mother being a bread winner depends on mat weaving and selling activity. The family’s annual income is less than 360 US dollars which hardly meets their basic needs. Monica goes to a nearby school in their village and she likes English and Kiswahili lesons. Monica likes playing rope skipping and with her friends during free time. Community leaders referred the parents to seek help from child fund project to assist Monica achieve her dreams. Monicah aspires to be a teacher when she grows up and also help the less fortunate people in the community. Your support will bring a lasting change to Monica’s life.
