This little girl Sanumi is very fond of playing with her dolls and making play houses just like other small kids. Sanumi lives with her parents in their own half completed house located in a beautiful village in the Moneragala district of Sri Lanka. Their partially built house is constructed with cement blocks and the floor of the house is concreted. The roof is covered with asbestos sheets. The family do not have access to proper sanitary facilities or electricity and use water from a neighbor’s well. Sanumi loves to help her mother to gather firewood and bring water from the well. Sanumi’s father goes out to cultivate the land to generate an income for the family and earns an annual income of around USD550/-. However, this poor income is not sufficient to provide the essential needs to his child. As such, the child and her parents are living a difficult life. Due to the rising cost of living, the situation has become worse. Therefore, we extend an invitation to join hands in providing care for little Sanumi and her family. Your support will definitely be a great blessing to little Sanumi as well as her family.
