Winfridah lives in one of the villages in Mumbwa district. She is a single orphan. The her mother is dead leaving the child under the care of the father as a sole breadwinner. The family owns a piece of land. The father is a hardworking subsistence farmer with a low income which cannot sustain the family hence the enrollment of the child into the program. The father’s irregular and insufficient income can only provide two daily family meals for Winfridah and other family members. Winfridah is in school. She is healthy and likes playing ball games.
