Mamby and parents live in huts in a village called Koumarela with no electricity. They eat twice a day and get drinking water from a traditional well and have limited access to health facilities. They practice local farming and breeding and earn around US$370 per year. With this low income, they hardly meet their basic needs. Mamby looks an intelligent and ambitious little boy but surviving in poverty. He is not attending school due to distance and lack of sufficient means. He sleeps with his sibling in a bed covered with mosquito-net. Apparently he is healthy but poorly dressed most of the time. The assistance of a kind friend will improve the living conditions and enable Mamby to go to school.
