Ana is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Willamis and Graciana, and with two sisters and a brother, in a small community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home has brick walls, rough cement floors and a clay-tiled roof. It is self-built and has a tiny bathroom. Water is carried from an artesian well. Willamis takes some odd jobs as an unskilled laborer when available (he is unemployed at this time) and the family receives a small family allowance from the federal government. Ana is friendly and affectionate. Her pet name is Gabi. She helps around the house mostly by washing the dishes and sweeping the floor. In her spare time she usually dances and sings. She has a dog and a cat she is fond of. Ana is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She attends a local public school and her favorite subject is English. Your support will make a difference in the life of this needy child.
