Vivian Mary and family hail from North Eastern Uganda. She is a playful and calm girl, living with her mother and other relatives after her parents separated. They sleep in a small hut made of mud walls, wattle and grass thatched roof. The hut requires constant repairs due to a leaking roof especially during rainy season and the family gets sleepless nights trying to keep their beddings away from the leaking parts of the hut. The family survives through subsistence farming although the yield is low due to poor cultivation methods used and cannot provide enough income to support the family acquire other basic needs. The family is solely dependent on the mother who works tooth and nail to provide family needs by working in the homes of other people. On average, the family earns less than US 10 dollars a month. Her family fetches water from a nearby borehole which serves more than 250 households. Your kind gesture to sponsor this youngster will enable her to achieve all that life has in store for her.
