Peres is a brilliant young girl who lives in Turkana County in Northern part of Kenya. She lives with her mother and father, grandmother, one brother and two sisters. They live in a hut thatched with palm tree leaves on the sticks thatched all round the hut in a communal land. They fetch water from the nearby local hand pump. The water from the hand pump is saline and not good for drinking. However, the water is not sufficient because the whole community uses the same one pump. Peres mother is a volunteer at nearby primary school. The family annual income generated from all the economic activities practised by the family is below US$ 360 which hardly meets meets their basic needs. peres is in a nearby school and performs good in music. Peres loves singing during her free time. Peres chores at home is to help her mother wash dishes. Peres would like to be a musical artist in future.
