Jattu is a quiet, cheerful and active girl. She lives with her parents and three siblings in a small village in the eastern part of Sierra Leone. They share a family house built with mud bricks that has three rooms and a store with other close relatives. Jattu is the last daughter to her parents. The house lacks toilet facility and furniture. She is now attending school. Her parents primary source of income is through small scale farming. Her father also is a volunteer Teacher in their community The annual income is estimated at US $180 which the parents manage to derive from their crops and petty trading which the mother does to also help the family. Jattu enjoys having fun with her locally made toys or playing with the other children in their community. Sponsorship would help Jattu have a good education and succeed in life.
