In the heart of a tea plantation community nestled in the central region of Sri Lanka, Kirahanya, a sweet baby girl, finds solace in the tender embrace of her mother. Though still too young for pre-school, she cherishes the warmth and love that surrounds her in their modest home. Their dwelling, like many in their marginalized community, boasts cement floors, walls, and a roof adorned with asbestos sheets. Despite the simplicity of their abode, they are blessed with basic amenities such as electricity and sanitary facilities. Their drinking water, drawn from a common well, serves as a lifeline for their familys daily needs. As her mother tenderly cares for their household, her father works tirelessly as a driver to make ends meet. Yet, their meager income struggles to cover the essentials, leaving them burdened with the weight of their responsibilities. The sponsorship, lies the hope for a brighter future, where Kirahanyas laughter continues to fill their home with joy and love.
