Samuel is a friendly boy who likes playing local foot ball with his friends. He is so intelligent and always good looking. He lives with both parents and one brother in a small community surrounded by swamp land in the northern part of Sierra Leone. They live in a mud house with old zinc that leaks during the rainy season that makes them feel very uncomfortable especially at night. He sleeps with his brother in a local bed stuffed with elephant grass. Both parents engage in farm work. They plants different types of cash crops on a small piece of land at a far distance from their community. The income raised after selling some of the harvested product is used only for food and it is insufficient to take care of clothing, medical and other needs of the home. Her mothers also engage in petty trading in order to take care of such needs. They feed on one meal daily. Their annual income is around us$110. Samuel is attending the community primary school and he always work short distance to school every day with his peers to school. He likes eating rice and fruits.
