Alie is a very cool and brave boy living with his parents in a small village in the northern part of Sierra Leone. His village is surrounded by swamps that are breeding ground for mosquitoes and can cause illness like malaria. They find it very difficult to get safe drinking water more especially in the dry season. The family dwells in a mud brick house roofed with old zinc and uses local stick bed with dried grass mattress to sleep using mosquito net. They depend mainly on farming, growing upland and inland swamp rice as food. The family annual income of US$240 is not enough to cater for their basic needs and as a result, they hardly get enough food to eat. Alie is presently a visitor at the community primary school. He likes to play football with his peers. Alie can be what he will want to be in future with the help of your sponsorship.
