Memunatu is a smart looking girl who lives with her parents and siblings in a remote community in the north of Sierra Leone. She attends the community primary school in the village. Her community lacks safe drinking water and health center. They get drinking water from an unprotected well which is not safe for human consumption, thus expose Memunatu and family to contact water borne diseases. They live in a mud hut with a dirty packed floor. This exposes them to disease like cough. Yet they cannot afford to treat themselves when affected with the disease. She sleeps on a local bed mattress with poor bedding without using mosquito net. Her parents are farmers growing crops and vegetables. Their annual income is below US$620.00 as this cannot adequately meet their needs. They depend on one meal a day. Memunatu is a good looking girl who likes to play stone ball and reading notes at home. With Sponsorship support and encouragement, Memunatu and family will live a better life and become educated and expose to better opportunities.
