Matching Gifts

  •

Increase the impact of your giving!

Matching gifts are a great way to have your donations to ChildFund doubled, even tripled at no extra cost to you. If your employer has a matching gift program and you enroll, their match to your gift will provide nutritional, educational and health support for the children who need it most through our Children’s Greatest Needs Fund.

Simply search your employer, complete the matching gift form, and we’ll take care of the rest!

    Step 1

Search for your employer or company below.

    Step 2

Submit the matching gift form. Depending on your employer’s instructions, you can submit the form electronically or mail the completed form to us at:

    ChildFund International
    Attn: Matching Gifts
    2821 Emerywood Parkway
    Richmond, Virginia 28294

This form may require ChildFund’s tax identification number, 54-0536100.

What if my company doesn’t match?
It doesn’t hurt to ask them to start; it might even inspire your employer to make a difference!~ Communicating with your human resources department is the best way to voice a desire for your employer to participate in a matching gifts program.

    What if I’m self-employed?
No problem! We are so thankful for all the support you currently provide. If you and your partner donate jointly and your partner's employer has a matching gift program, they can match on both of your behalves.

Is the form long to complete?
Most forms are only one page requiring basic information such as name, address and the name of the nonprofit for which you would like your donation matched.

    What is your tax ID?
    ChildFund’s tax ID is 54-0536100.

    Is my match tax deductible?
Each donation that you personally contribute is tax deductible. But your employer’s donations to match your gifts are tax deductible only for your employer.

Does this affect my current child sponsorship?
Your sponsored child will continue to receive all the amazing benefits of having a sponsor like you. But now that you’re enrolled in matching gifts, your match extends wonderful benefits to other children as well.

Will my employer's matching gift go to my sponsored child?
No, the company match goes toward ChildFund's Children's Greatest Needs fund, which allows us to step in where children need us the most in vulnerable communities.
