Salima lives with her parents in a small village located in the east of Sierra Leone. They live in a house built with mud bricks and roofed with old zinc. The house lacks basic household furniture and proper sanitary facilities to make a happy home. Her parents are small scale farmers that grow crops like rice, yams and cassava for family consumption. They sell some of the farm produce to cater for other basic needs. She attends school in her community. She spends most of her free time playing with her siblings around. Despite all the difficulties surrounding this family, they stay healthy most of the time. With sponsorship, Salima will grow well and be educated with hope for a brighter future.
