Nissandi loves to play with dolls. She is a sweet and happy little girl. She lives with her parents in a green and lush village situtaed in the district of Moneragala in Sri Lanka. She lives with her parents, in a house that belongs to a relative and is constructed with brick walls, cement flooring and clay tiled roofing. Nissandi’s family cannot afford to acquire their own property because they live in poverty and lack the means to do so. Nissandi’s mother is a house-wife and her father is a daily wage earning labourer. He is the sole breadwinner of the family and his annual income is less USD650. Nissandi’s parents are struggling to provide her with the nutrition that she needs and educate her because they can’t afford to do so. This can have detrimental effect on Nissandi’s life and future. However, if a kind-hearted stranger were to step forward to help Nissandi, it could have a very positive effect on her precious life; in fact, it will change her life for the better.
