Emergency Aid Needed in Ethiopia

Across Ethiopia, 10.2 million people are going hungry right now. Low rainfall and poor harvests have led to massive shortages of food. And, with El Niño likely to keep the region dry well into 2016, conditions throughout the Horn of Africa are expected to only get worse.

Will you take one simple step and help feed a child and family for two months?

Your gift of $21 or more could be the lifesaving difference for children and families in Ethiopia who are hungry and scared. Consider Halko and her 5-month-old son, Fentale, who has severe acute malnutrition. Halko and her husband have three more children, and the only food they have is maize flour. She even finds it hard to produce milk for tiny Fentale. “I fear for the future. I don’t know whether Fentale will pass through this situation,” Halko says.

Corn, cooking oil and beans are just some of the basic needs that would make a huge difference for other infants and children like Fentale. But before ChildFund can answer this call, we need your support.
